SEC na interverskoj razmeni za mlade u Rimu – SEC at the interfaith Youth Exchange in Rome
Grupa od 6 mladih iz Srbije, mahom članova Somborskog edukativnog centra koju su činili Milica Lugumerski, Bojana Nešović, Ivana Damjanović, Dubravka Malenić, Edis Demić i Petar Kecman, učestvovala je u sedmodnevnoj interkulturalnoj omladinskoj razmeni pod nazivom „Osnaživanje mladih za međuversku i multikulturalnu mirovnu akciju“ („Empowering Youth in Inter-faith and Multicultural Peace Action“), od 26. oktobra do 1. novembra u mestu Kastel Gandolfo nadomak Rima u Italiji.
Preko četrdeset mladih učesnika iz Rumunije, Finske, Švedske, Holandije, Bosne i Hercegovine, Velike Britanije, Belgije, Mađarske i Maroka, imalo je priliku da produbi i razmeni svoja znanja o kulturi, običajima i tradiciji više od 10 različitih religija, te da predstave svoju u interkulturalnom okruženju, kao i da uspostave dijalog sa mladima iz drugih zemalja i uporede sisteme vrednosti koje gaje. Učesnici su takođe razmenjivali primere dobre prakse u prevazilaženju izazova i izgradnje mira u svetu.
Svoj doprinos razmeni dao je Srđan Vlaškalić, omladinski radnik i lider grupe iz Srbije, održavši dve radionice tokom kojih su učesnici bili podstaknuti na preispitivanje ličnih vrednosti i uverenja i upućeni u osnove pisanja projekata u cilju sprovođenje svojih ideja izgradnje mira i međusobnog poštovanja. Učesnici SEC-a su takođe tih dana na istom mestu pred više od 50 verskih lidera iz Evrope na skupštini mreže „Religije za mir” („Religions for Peace“), predstavili izazove s kojima se mladih suočavaju i primere dobre prakse aktivizma u Srbiji.
Projekat “Osnaživanje mladih za međuversku I multikulturalnu mirovnu akciju – od straha do poverenja!” realizuje “Religion for Peace” iz Brisela u partnerstvu sa Somborskim edukativnim centrom i još 4 organizacije za mlade iz Evrope, SUDA iz Švedske, MOSAIK iz Bosne I Hercegovine, “Uskot ilman rajoja ry” iz Finske, i ISKCON iz Engleske, a finansira Evropska komisija u okviru programa Erasmus+.

A group of six young people from Serbia, Milica Lugumerski, Bojana Nešović, Ivana Damjanović, Dubravka Malenić, Edis Demić i Petar Kecman, mostly from Sombor Educational Center participated in a seven day long intercultural Youth Exchange from the 26th of October until 1st of November called „Empowering Youth in Interfaith and Multicultural Peace Action”, which took place in Castel Gandolpho near Rome, Italy.
More than forty young participants from Romania, Finland, Sweden, Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Kingdom, Belgium, Hungary, and Morocco had the opportunity to exchange their knowledge about the culture, customs, and traditions of more than ten different religions. They also had the opportunity to present their own culture in an intercultural environment as well as to start a dialogue with the youth from other countries and to compare their moral values. During that dialogue they exchanged the examples of good practice in overcoming challenges in their community and in peace building.
A Srđan Vlaškalić youth worker and a leader of the Serbian team, gave his contribution to this exchange by facilitating two workshops during which the participants were encouraged to question their personal values and beliefs, and they were introduced to the basics of project writing with the goal of implementing their ideas for peace building and mutual respect.
During those couple of days, the participants from the SEC have presented the challenges of youth, and examples of good practice of activism in Serbia, in front of more than 50 religious leaders from Europe at the assembly of “Religions for Peace” network.
Project “Empowering Youth in Interfaith and Multicultural Peace Action – From Fear to Trust!” is implemented by “Religions for Peace” from Brussels in partnership with the Sombor Educational Center and four more youth organisations from Europe, SUDA from Sweeden, MOSAIK from Bosnia and Herzegovina, “Uskot ilman rajoja ry” from Finland, and ISKCON from England, financed by the European Commission in the frame of the ERASMUS+ program.
